Proposed nominations to National Register being considered

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee State Review Board will consider several proposed nominations to the National Register of Historic Places later this month.

The proposals include a multiple property submission of historic agricultural resources of Bedford County and Thompson Creek rural historic district in Bedford County. It also includes Hank Snow house and Smith-Carter house in Davidson County and Whitwell Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marion County. Maple Grove Farm in Stewart County and Oak Grove School in Union County are also included in the proposals.

Nominations found to meet the necessary criteria will be sent to the National Register of Historic Places in the Department of the Interior for final approval. The Tennessee State Review Board will meet at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 19 at Crosstown Concourse in Memphis. The meeting is public.
